    Description

    This is a very old iron Indian trade pike or spontoon that is 8 3/8" long and weighs one pound.  It is heavy and comes to an edge on both sides of the dag shaped blade, with a very short tang with a hafting hole present.  The surface of the metal is pitted like what you would expect with an original period iron artifact.   Quite an interesting relic from the past from a Michigan estate.  Please ask any questions that you might have and good luck!!
    NOTE: A collector messaged me that he thinks it is a spike for a spiked pipe tomahawk.  This makes a lot of sense to me.
