RUSSIAN Imperial Army Naval Aviation Sailor-Aviator, WWI, 1917.
There is written on the tape of the sailor's cap: "Marine Aeronautical Team".
The photo has an inscription at the bottom - "In memory of the European war 1914-1917".
Russian naval aviation was just beginning to form during the First World War. Accordingly, photographs that relate to naval aviation during the First World War are extremely rare.
The photo has a cardboard base - passepartout.
