ANTIQUE AUTHENTIC ORIGINAL CIRCA 1800s NATIVE AMERICAN NORTHERN PLAINS INDIANS SKULL CRACKER WAR CLUB. Measures 21" long overall, stone club is 4.75" x 2.25". Excellent original condition and is believed to date to the later 1800s. The war club shows a wide bi-pointed grey stone head with a high polish, attached to a long wooden haft that is covered in a cloth garment material and sewn with animal sinew. This type of long haft stone head club were typically used on horseback by Indian Warriors and swung with great velocity in hand to hand combat. This war club is decorated on the end of the haft with a horse hair drop.  A very good looking old weapon that could be Sioux, Crow, Blackfoot, or Northern Cheyenne used.  From an old Montana collection.
